What's Up Buttercup?

I am working hard to organize and to move in a new direction.  So much to do, so much growth to experience.

Here is a list of the things that are currently taking up space in my head:

I am working with my daughter to help her get settled in and organized.  Homekeeping is a talent that develops slowly over time, but with consistent effort, can really be extraordinary!

Our current projects include this

and this

It doesn't have to be the "new year" in order to move in a new direction.  Any time is the right time, even if the only "new" is a new attitude!

We are also finsihing up the wreath that we started for her door.  Poor things!  Their development is new and often times people think that their house is unoccupied.  The last time I was there, I could see nose and hand prints on the living room window!  Hopefully a wreath will say "Welcome!" as well as "hey, we LIVE here!"

— Come see the EDGE difference! Utah's fastest growing home builder. Wonderful floor plan at a great location. Top quality features including: two-tone paint, vaulted ceilings, tiled entry, raised panel alder wood cabinetry w/crown molding, 90% high efficiency furnace, home prewired for EDGEhomes-Innovative, Solutions. EDGEhomes Easton-A floor plan.

They just had their sprinkler system installed and landscaping is in progress.  "Mom!!!  We got a tree!!"

Well, their dining room table is not going to paint itself!  My poor kitchen has been a work station for the past week.  My patient husband as I've dealt with black oil based paint.  I am on the homestretch, as I just have the table top to finish.  It will be cured by Friday and ready for delivery.  Just in time for fall semester's homework!

What did you do this week to get organized or to start in a new direction?

A New Family Is Born

On Saturday, July 26th our only daughter and youngest child married.  The ceremony was spiritual, emotional and eternal.  It was a tremendous blessing to be in the house of the Lord with our families and witness the sealing of these two souls.  To watch this tender love take hold and covenant through the eternities was magic!

Here are a few pictures from their celebration.

Mt. Timpanogos Temple.  So beautiful, rising up against the mountains for which it was named.

Hot and sunny at 95 degrees.
Married at noon, when the sun was at it's peak,
it paled in comparison to their potential.

Jubilant and triumphant entrance in to the world as the new Mr. and Mrs. B

One of my favorite pictures!

I don't know what I love more, the pure joy on her face or him watching her.
